Movember - Thick-Stache Engineeering

November each year, a global charity event called "Movember" is being organized and celebrated to raise awareness to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges among men around the world. Those who participate in Movember start clean shaven on the first day of November and grows their Mo (slang for moustache) for the whole 30 days of the month and ask their friends and supporters to donate to their efforts.

Three Streams Engineering in an effort to promote health among men, actively participates in this month long activity. The group who organized the activity call themselves "Thick-Stache Engineering". They were able to raise closed to $2000.

Again, I was fortunate enough to witness the culmination of this meaningful activity as I was tasked to to capture the moments.

Mexi-stache... for a cause

It all started some kind of a joke when a group of friends from TSE during one of their fun nights at a pub, dared one guy, a Mexican named Gus Noriega to shave his hair and leave a mustache on his head. (he calls it Mexi-stache)He said he wouldn't do it unless it's for a good cause, until someone mentioned the tragic event that recently happened in the Philippines, the devastation left by super typhoon Haiyan (locally named Yolanda). And there, the idea came up to raise funds for the victims, with Gus sacrificing his well loved hair to be shaved off. The organizers, Bob Goshtasbi, Nicole Bell and Gus Noriega immediately shared their idea to the rest of the TSE family to make it a reality. The group raised more than $2500 and donated through UNICEF, this fund will be matched by the Canadian government.

In our own little way, as part of TSE family, we're happy that we were able to lend a helping a hand.

2013 TSE Children's Christmas Party

It's this time of the year again where kids of all ages share fun and happiness in one of the most awaited events of Three Streams Engineering. The company provides a well balanced structure where each member enjoys family life while having fun at work. This time, I was tasked to capture moments with TSE kids and I was privileged and honored to be part of this activity as I was once a kid who, like them, enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere.
