PARK Show 2014

Many thanks to Jacqueline Tyler and Eric Epie for giving me once again an opportunity to be part of the PARK Show 2014 as one of the guest photographers, It was indeed an amazing experience as I was able to capture the work of arts as showcased and presented by the talented Albertan fashion designers. The experience was overwhelming and rewarding as I was able to shoot alongside with the well experienced and well known photographers of Calgary, meeting and chatting with these people allowed me to pick up some tips and pointers to improve my craft.

Everett Logan Alexander Baby Photoshoot

9 in the morning of Saturday, February 1st , I drove up to the north of the city to fulfill a very challenging commitment, challenging because it was my very first to do a baby photo shoot relying only to some information and tips I read from the net and armed with just simple equipment I have.

It was indeed a satisfying and rewarding experience as I was able to apply what I have just learned and at the same time figured out what needs to be done in different situations. Certainly, it wasn't perfect and there are still things I need to improve on. Having a subject as lovable and adorable as Evy, there's no way stress and pressure could set in.

Calgary Skyline at Night

This is my first attempt in night photography. It was Saturday night doing nothing at home, I realized I needed to do something before boredom hits my senses and so I decided to drive downtown and took some pictures and experimented on night photography. Here are the sample images I took at downtown Calgary.

First Take on Light Painting Photography

I have been on a search for a good and simple tutorial on light painting photography and HDR (high dynamic range) since the start of the holiday season last year and finally I was able to execute what I have just learned on light painting. I would have done it a bit better had I got all the stuff I need but overall I was satisfied with the result. 

These images were all taken at a shutter speed of 30", F16, ISO 100 through my prime lens 50mm using a cable shutter release. I used an incandescent flash light and a white led flash light to paint the images.
